Have you ever heard this saying? If a person says this they
are expressing concern at the current state of matters. At the same time, they
are letting us know that they don’t have the answers.
I can tell you what the World is coming to. It is heading for
judgement!
Luke 17:26-29, “(26)
As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be in the days of the Son of Man:
(27) ‘They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage,
until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them
all. (28) Likewise as it was in the days of Lot; they ate, they drank, they
bought, they sold, they planted, they built; (29) but on the day that Lot went
out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all’.”
These words were spoken by the Son of Man, the Lord Jesus
Christ. They are not just intended for Jews and Christians. They are a solemn
warning to all the inhabitants of Planet Earth.
What is the prelude to this?
Matthew 24:4-8, “(24)
And Jesus answered them and said to them: ‘Take heed that no one deceives you.
(5) For many will come in My name, saying, “I am the Christ”, and will deceive
many. (6) And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars...for all these things
must come to pass, but the end is not yet. (7) For nation will rise against
nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences,
and earthquakes in various places. (8) All these are the beginnings of sorrows’.”
We have wars; we have famines; and we have deadly plagues
such as AIDS and the HIV virus. Earthquakes are on the increase around the
world and seem to be increasing in severity. What does the Lord say? “All these are the beginnings of sorrow.”
There are clear warnings in the Scriptures of impending
worldwide judgement.
If mankind continues to disobey God and flout His
sovereignty then judgement must follow!
Where does this leave you? Does it leave you in danger of
impending judgement? Or are you safely abiding in the Lord Jesus Christ?
Be warned - the wheels of justice may move slowly - don’t be
crushed under one when justice reaches you!
